Q: It seems that I have found a bug (abnormal behaviour) in your product, how to fix it?
A: Use the contact form to describe in details what did you do to make it happen. We'll advise you how to temporarily avoid it and will fix the bug in a forthcoming release of the product.
Q: I have a good idea on what to improve in your product!
A: Use the contact form, we are always glad to hear some good recommendations.
Q: When will you release a new version of the product?
A: In the most cases we cannot tell, because development is a creative process, and many unforeseen problems often suddenly arise. Bugfix releases usually take from a couple of days to several weeks.

Q: I am using the HTML output format, how to make all the links to files relative instead of absolute?
A: Click Advanced Options, check Custom root and leave the field on the right empty.
• Discontinued products
Q: What are the discontinued products?
A: These are the products those development was abandoned because of commercial or technical reasons. The current versions of these products are most probably the last.
Q: I have a trouble with a discontinued product, can you help?
A: Yes, use the contact form and we'll try to give you an advise on how to avoid the problem. We cannot make a bugfix release unless the problem is totally unavoidable.

Q: It is way too slow!
A: Unfortunately this is the limitation of the algorithm. We are constantly working on the ways of accelerating it. As a solution, you can increase the Use every Nth pixel thresholds in the Options.
Q: It removes too much details / it leaves too much noise!
A: Read the User's Guide for the advices on how to fine-tune parameters for each particular image.
Q: The noise has been removed but there is a lot of bright/dark dots left behind!
A: Use the Dirt Removal instrument to remove them.
Q: The Sharpen results are barely noticable!
A: First, try to increase Diameter, then try Effect strength.
Q: Sharpen produces unwanted artifacts!
A: Decrease Detail sensitivity and/or increase Threshold.
Q: Sharpen produces the bright dot artifacts!
A: Check the Anti-aliasing box.

Q: I have a message "Cannot get movie info. Possibly the file is broken" but I know that the file is okay.
A: The most common reason for this is that the audio is not uncompressed (MP3 or a similar format). FRCHQ supports only uncompressed PCM audio. Use VirtualDub (freeware) to recompress it.
Q: I still cannot open a file.
A: There are two basic limitations for source AVI files in FRCHQ: they should be not larger than 2 GB (2048 MB) and frame width should be even number (e.g. 320, 752, 180, etc.). Both of these problems can be solved using VirtualDub (freeware). For loading files larger than 2 GB use the frame-serving interface of VirtualDub (do not forget to install the needed DLL files using AuxSetup.exe). To fix the frame size use the "Resize" filter of VirtualDub. If the file is still not loadable try to recompress it using another codec, the good one is the lossless HuffYUV codec (freeware).
Q: I cannot save a file.
A: Try another codec, for example HuffYUV (freeware).
